Sculptor Jean Chauvin's studio in Malakoff

Archives

The Comité Jean Chauvin is entrusted with the preservation, study, and dissemination of his work.

It holds the artist's complete reference archives: photographic collection, foundry records, contracts, correspondence, and a documentary database built from Jean Chauvin's personal archives and expanded over fifty years. The Committee also holds the archives of the galerie l'Enseigne du Cerceau. The catalogue of works, continuously updated, serves as the authoritative reference for the traceability and authentication of Jean Chauvin's entire body of work.

The Committee provides authentication of works, collaborates with museum institutions on exhibitions and loans, and supports academic research. It continues the cataloguing work initiated with the publication of the catalogue raisonné of sculptures in 2007. Catalogues raisonnés of the drawings and photographs are in preparation.

Any enquiry regarding the authentication of a work, access to the archives, or an exhibition project may be addressed to the Committee through the contact form.
